SSC GD Syllabus 2025, Exam Pattern Download Link The SSC GD (General Duty) Constable Syllabus 2025 includes four important subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. The examination is of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) type and is computer-based. The General Intelligence & Reasoning section examines analytical and logical abilities, such as coding-decoding, number series, and spatial visualization. General Knowledge & General Awareness covers subjects from history, geography, polity, economy, current affairs, and science. The Elementary Mathematics part tests arithmetic ideas such as number systems, percentages, profit & loss, and algebra. The English/Hindi part tests understanding, grammar, and vocabulary.
Apart from the computer-based test (CBT), the recruitment process involves a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination. The PET involves conducting tests for both male and female candidates, whereas the PST tests height, chest (for males), and weight criteria. The Medical Examination ensures that the candidates possess the requisite health criteria. Candidates must adhere to the latest syllabus, practice last year’s papers, and stay physically fit in order to succeed. The SSC GD exam is used to select candidates for BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, SSB, and other paramilitary forces for national security.
General Knowledge and General Awareness questions asked in the SSC GD Constable exam are of elementary level. The daily reading of newspapers and the basic learning from the standard books of General Knowledge can help to score better in this section.
